The only reason this piques my interest is that the Rezound and Razr Maxx came out at the same time and were sort of on the same timeline for ICS....and the misinformation mentioned both phones (Best Buy). Seems that development is continuing for Gingerbread on the Razr....curious if this will happen for the Rezound too?

My guess is Razr owners wont be seeing ICS for at least 3-6 months. This being my first HTC, which manufacturer is generally quicker at OS upgrades? I know that Verizon has a lot to say about when OS updates are seen too.

They're all dirt slow in getting updates to the phones. And not to be argumentative but the RAZR and the Rezound came out a week apart, with the MAXX coming in 2 months later. I personally can't believe that any current gen phone will get ICS before summer. That is of course except the Vivid that magically got ICS a month ago.

Well, in Android time a week IS a lifetime  You are probably right about summer ICS. That will piss a lot of people off I'm sure.

I still have a feeling that it's just Verizon being slow. After all, the HTC Vivid on AT&T got ICS a month ago, and was released at about the same time as the Rezound.

if it is like the last update for droidX
do not take the update.

all exploits won't work.
no way to ever root it.

had new bootloader that refused all older sbf files.

people had to sbf European cell phone firmware to be rooted.

Yeah I remember that one. It was my time with the Fascinate that taught me to never.....EVER....take an OTA. Wait for the rooted version to come out.

I wonder if this update gives a warning about blocking foxfi lol.

To bad foxfi doesn't work with a stock Rezound... :(
