S8+ Won't Start

I went to check my phone a little bit ago, and when I did the fingerprint thing, it didn't unlock. I then realized that the phone was completely off. When I tried to power it up, nothing happened. It's been on the charger now for half an hour, and nada - nothing when I attempt to power it up, not even an LED to indicate that it's accepting a charge. I got it brand new from Verizon maybe a month ago, so I'm sure exchanging it under warranty won't be an issue, but I'd prefer to have my phone back up and running tonight and not to have to go through all that.

Any ideas? Maybe something simple I'm missing?

Sounds like a dead battery.....that happened back when I had the galaxy s6+. It would best to take it to a store and let them start an exchange for you.
