one problem I see is getting APN Backup & Restore to work on RAZR MAXX it needs to be a system app if on icecream sandwich (4.0) or higher
is RAZR MAXX rooted?

if not rooted, try to make a backup, can't remember, if it needs to be a system app, just to make a backup or not

ok missed your post, so you found your backup on your sd card?
just move it to pc, then to DX
use apn backup & restore, to restore apn backup

yes, but you current system version may still be a problem
if the restore apn does not work, try flashing the generic SBF, then the restore apn

only if it's a ics/jb, then you need to make apn backup app a system app

Ok great. It is ics on the dx.

On a side note, if i want to put a jb rom on my maxx, does it matter what carrier the rom is geared for? Im pretty sure i know the answer, but you are way more knowledgeable than i and i will defer to your judgement

No i replaced the dx with a dx2, and the dx2 with a razr. So it is not currently active. I tried to go back to it when my dx2 boot looped, but because the carrier is wrong on it aw didn't know what to do to fix it so i bought the razr maxx
