strange things

recently everytime I unplug my phone from a charger the screen stays lit. and also I lose my data connection even though I am getting 3g.. I got root and some of the programs.. rom manager.. I have not installed a rom though. boot strap.. metamorph.. blah blah blah.. sorry still hung over from last night...

any thoughts?

Dropping 3G is fairly common. Usually a reboot will fix it. If it doesn't then it's one of two things -- bad/overloaded signal (often caused my maintenance in the area), or an antenna issue.

What kind of signal strength are you getting? Settings> About phone> Status.

And no data even though you have 3G is also fairly common. Same deal; reboot it and see if it fixes the issue. Sometimes the software gets a bit choked.

I am getting any where from 81 to 88 for signal strength. at times I have to reboot the phone twice in a ro' its like when you had to do a battery pull on my stormv1.

That's certainly strong enough signal. That's an issue I'd contact Verizon over if it persists for another day.
