I installed the 5.8.894 when it leaked and I want to get back on the upgrade path.

I tried flashing 5.5.893 with RSD lite and it gets stuck at 14or15/22 where is says writing system. I tried multiple times and let it sit there for an hour. I dont get any error messages.

I also tried using R3l3AS3Droot 2.1 and it gets stuck at pushing files or whatever after choosing option 1.

When I turn my phone on it goes right into fastboot and says flash failed. I was able to get it to boot by holding down both volume buttons and selecting normal boot. It works now but everything was wiped and im still on 5.5.894. When I try to boot into recovery it goes to an exclamation point.

Okay. No problem. Familiar with rsdlite? Have the latest moto device drivers?

Go here.. http://www.droidforums.net/forum/droid-bionic-hacks/202176-detailed-safestrap-instructions.html
Grab the full 902 fxz file. Unzip it but keep it all in 1 folder.
Grab the timmys edited xml file too at the site.
Put the edited file in the folder.
Put phone in ap fastboot mode (power and down volume button)
Plug in phone and let your pc recognize it.
Flash the file 5.9.902
Done...your on 902.
Then u will have to root again and i will help.

I have already tried flashing 902 with RSD and it gets stuck at system

May sure your flashing from the rear usb port.

I am. I might try another cable later even though its a moto so it should be good.

To use the xml file that wont wipe my storage, do I just replace it with xml file in the 902 zip? do i need to rename it or anything?

Just put in the folder that u unzipped with everything else.
