Silly Question and Usually just having a Media Folder on the SD Card Does the Trick but not this time it seems. Where can i Find the Alarm Audio Files Location on the Droid Z Force? Thanks in Advance!

If the Moto Z Droid is like other newer Moto phones you can't see that folder and can'y use custom sound files as Alarm tones; you have to use the built in alarm tones. You can use custom tones for phone notifications, new mail, new text, calendar, etc. but not alarm sounds. Maybe the Z is different though?

Very interesting.

I may have been mistaken, not 100% sure. Try this: look for a folder named Alarms in the main Internal storage directory. You probably can't see the default files. I just copied a custom sound file into that folder on my Turbo 2 and I can now see that file as an option in my Alarm > Timer Ringtone settings. That may work for you also?

I tried copying the files to the Alarm folder but no luck. I had it setup the same way I had on my Droid Turbo. Not working.

I use root explorer to copy them there. Make sure you reboot after doing it.

YEp, Tried that and for Some reason no go. Don't know if its a Moto Z Thing. but Thanks for the Assist!

I use ES File Explorer. It was right on the Device folders, but i switched it to the SD card. No problemo.:p

I have my sd card mounted for use with apps and such. I have the Files in the Alarms folder but the do not show in Stock Alarm.

Have you rebooted? If it's mounted you won't see it until a fresh happens.

Strange. Try renaming the file.

Tried Renaming it and Rebooted Phone and Nothing. Still the Same. Its frustrating Since my Droid Turbo had no Issues with this

Removed Alarms Folder. Rebooted. Nothing. Put back. Rebooted. Nothing. This is nuts! I was thinking maybe it cant use .ogg but my Turbo did. after all i took all my Ringers and everything form my Turbo.
