Why Adobe Air?

Sorry, I'm barely droid literate and may raise some dumb questions. Why do I need Adobe Air?

It's needed for some applications to run. If you can run all your apps without it, you dont need it.

Hobn, since I don't know which apps need it and which don't... hmm, dilemma. Is there a way to find out, or should I just install it and forget it. Thanks.

If it's needed, upon install of the app, a pop-up will come up that tells you it's needed and directs you to the market to download. You don't need to download it preemptively.
