I just turned it on again and it worked it then asked to enter 911 default address if it can't tell where you are if you call 911

I then tried some tests
It doesn't work in airplane mode

I then looked for apps to disable mobile while keeping wifi on but couldn't find one for turbo 2 on new OS. Do you know of one so I
Can test

I will have to find a cell dead zone to test in mean time

Yes, it does work in airplane mode. Turn Airplane mode on first. Then turn on WiFi. Then your call will go through over WiFi. It has to be done in that order though.

The address is the default address where you would normally make a wifi call. The 911 operator is going to ask for your location no matter what.

Will texting over wifi work in airplane mode? So far on Verizon no success with sms texts only pictures

I believe SMS always uses Cell Data on the Verizon network, so SMS Texts will not work in airplane mode connected to WiFi
