Wifi tether help!!!!!!

Im on DROIDX gb 596 I've flashed many roms so I have alot of experience. Just always have issues with tethering so I've used many times b4 with problems and many times without problems I have wireless tether app used only with the wug tether patch/unpatch and works great sometimes but here's my problem now when it connects to my laptop I have internet then seconds later on laptop it says no internet access I've messed with the setting here m there on the app but no luck now tomo it mite work fine so is there something I could do to stop this so it works all the time or should I go back to froyo n use that tether app I got I never have problems lol I still have on my X but can't remember name now hope y'all understand please help

Have you tried foxfi its free and you dont have to be rooted works great for me for laptop and ps3. Also have a add on to manage it better.
