z4root help

I don't remember where I read it but I heard this helps. Its what I did and it worked first try and was rooted within 2 miniutes. After you install z4root before you run it reboot your phone.

Open your app drawer and you'll see an app called Talk. Menu > Add Friend and type in my Gmail address :)

How do I add you on gtalk? lol

I know he said he rebooted multiple times after trying to root but did he reboot after installing the app before doing anything else. I don't know if it helps but it worked for me.

Should be the same thing. Either way, it hasn't ran the binary codes.

This may go without saying but did you check the box in settings/applications to allow unknown sources?

I had the same problem when i used z4, when i ran the exploit it "stuck" at the attempting dialogue for a couple minutes. All i did was hit the back key, use a taskkiller to close everything, and restart the app. Sure enough i was perma-rooted and have had no problems since

I only keep it for when i think something is acting up,
Otherwise i dont use autokillers in any way.

I did just realize that i said i hit the back key to exit the program before using ATK to clear all running procs/services

Redundancy much?
