Will I get charged to use the 3G Mobile hot spot? I have tried to use the wireless tether, but the 3G goes go and out.

Ok. Anyone know why the wireless tether makes my 3G go in and out?

I've had a few problems with wifi tether, but it would just stop transferring data. What app are you using for wifi tether?

Wireless Tether for android is what it is called. Is there one you recommend?

Is it different from the one go the market? Is there a way to avoid the 3G in and out problem?

its the most recent update. to the one on the market.
As for the 3g In and Out does this only happen when using the Wifi tether app that you get intermittent 3G signal?

Affirmative. This happened on my Droidone too.

That's strange.
Do you have to stop and restart the tether connection to get it working for a while befor it goes dead again?

I'll be on my laptop and doing my business. Then I notice that the connection gets slow, I look at my phone and the 3G icon in the notification bar will not be there. Then it will appear and go out again.

Pda net and easy tether pretty much work flawlessly. I would just like to use wireless more. Especially since I will be getting an android tablet for Christmas:)

Its not the 3g connection. its the tether connection. i just kept trying until i finally got a solid connection that did not stop. This happened on both my Droid and Droid X last month.
I never used the update but it should help. Try it first.

FYI you cant tether one android device to another. Thats what Ive heard i believe it has to do with the ad-hoc connection. Sorry
