Perhaps it was trying to sync to no avail?I was in a bad service area last night. Well great service but 30k people overwhelm the towers.
My Play Services shows up as a user when I take a bunch of photos and/videos. Never number 1 like yours but like yesterday when kayaking a took a bunch of photos and it was #4. I don't use any Google photo cloud stuff or any of that so I have no clue why it does it. I just kill it and drops back down eventually. Like I said, Gsam app can take you down the rabbit hole, eventually nailing down but I'm more interested in a solution than a reason since I know nothing about code and all that stuff. I'd like to be able to find why Android Weather keeps triggering a high CPU usage alert. I don't even know what Android Weather is, can't find any app or widget I've got that would use it and Gsam doesn't show it either.I wish I could figure out what. I took about 200 photos. Didn't realize he was going to be 10 feet from my seats.

That's pretty darn ironic. I wonder how mine is different than how yours was. I remember when Gsam first came out, under a different name , I used to have issues with battery consumption with it but I think that was a theme or widget or something I paid extra for. It's been years ago so I can't remember exactlyI had gsam but it ate a lot of battery so I stopped using it.
