Can't Install Nightlies...Errors

I am running CyanogenMod-7.1.0-RC0-DROIDX-KANG

Kernel Version
2.6.32.9

When I try to install a nightly from Rom Manager the process errors out when starting to install, here is the error.

assert failed: run_program("/tmp/check_kernel")
== 0
Error in /sdcard/cm_shadow_full-31.zip
(Status 7)


Any thoughts? I would really like to at least get a newer nightly installed to get GPS working. Thanks!

There is a GPS fix in a zip file that you can flash through Clockwork.

I would download the latest nightly from the CM7 mirror site and then flash it with Clockwork recovery.

I have tried to do the gps fix and the latest nightly through clockwork recovery (via rom manager) and have the same error.

It makes me think I have done something wrong at some point but I don't know. Just went to Cyanogenmod a couple days ago.

Don't use ROM manager. Hold the power button, select reboot, then select reboot recovery. Flash your stuff through there
