Despite earlier reports that suggested Google may release Chromebooks at a higher price-point, instead they are launching starting at just $349 dollars. The cloud-based net device from Google could eventually become the next evolution of technology for the computing world. For $350 you can get an actual computer that does more than just surf the web, this thing is barely worth $99.

If they're web based, does that mean they have no hard drive?

If you installed XP, then I guess that means it has a hard drive.
