Did a factory reset, now it wants to activate

Hey guys - did a factory reset on my phone just because I had some weird issues (too much crap installed, wanted to start over). Now its happy, but it boots up with the android robot and wants me to activate the phone again. I hit ok to activate, press 1, and it fails activation. What the heck?

You might have to call Verizon on this one. It happened to me when I used a regular messaging phone when I was waiting for a replacement phone.

Try *228. That should take you directly to activation.

You can bypass the Activation Screen by touching all four corners (going clockwise) starting at the Top-Left, Top-Right, Bottom-Right, Bottom-Left. Make sure to touch right above the green line for the bottom right and left.
