So I just had something weird happen. I rebooted and did not get asked for an encryption PIN. Has anyone else had this happen? I rebooted again and the behavior repeated itself.

I can't imagine how this could be related but earlier today I tried to open a zip and got the message "cannot open this type of file".
Think my ex sent me spyware?

I would guess probably not unless she had access to your phone recently. Check your lock screen and security settings. Reset them. It sounds like they may have inadvertently been changed.

No, she has not had access and the settings still indicate it's encrypted.

I was finally able to open the zip and it just appears to be documents.
