Yesterday we shared a story that the T-Mobile freebie Tuesday deal with Domino's pizza went awry. Apparently, too many people ordered free pizza's through the T-Mobile Tuesday offer. Domino's couldn't keep up with demand because each store only had about 100 pizzas allocated for the promo. Now Domino's has indefinitely suspended the promo altogether.

In a letter sent to Domino's employees, the Pizza delivery company has basically pulled the plug on their deal with T-Mobile. The main reasons cited by the company letter were that the promo put too much of a load on their stores, and it could potentially hurt their brand name when folks were unable to get the free pizza offer.

It begs the question... will other retailers have to pull out of the promo offer with T-Mobile as well? It seems like this was a good idea on paper, but the logistics weren't worked out enough ahead of time.

I doubt other retailers will pull out. Giving away a free movie is a lot easier then making and delivering 100 pizzas (or more) in one night.
