Galaxy S4 screen won't turn off during calls

Dumb question, there's no case blocking the proximity sensor, yes?

Correct. . There is no case or screen protector.

First thing I tried. No luck.

Ok in dialer put *#22745927# it will com up with hidden menue. Turn on back out to dialer and enter *#0*#. Open the sensor tab. It measures the different sensors. 2nd one down is the prox. Run your hand in front of the sensor and it will give you readings about it and you can change the sensitivity

Had same problem

After a lot of reading I found out that you can restart your phone in safe mode and try it if it works it's a 3rd party app causing the problem I uninstalled all my apps and reinstalled them 2 or 3 a day and tried. Seemed the problem only occurred on incoming calls and it turned out to be an app called who are you caller Id found this out after att replacing my phone 3 times
