Headphone Icon

My Note 4 displayed a headphone icon in the upper left when headphones were plugged into it. Could someone be kind enough to let me know if that same icon appears on their Edge device!

Thanks in advance!

Yeah that is what I thought...sounds like it is supposed to stay lit until you disconnect the headphones...interesting.

Thanks again.

Interesting.....the icon stays there the whole time until unplugged on the S5.

On my Note 3 you actually get options in your status bar as to what apps you want to launch when you plug in headphones. It is missing from this version of Touchwiz.

Yeah stayed on my Note 3 and Note 4...I have seen people complain about it (why, I'm not sure) but maybe this version due to the Edge screen they changed it.

Same on the S5 & 4.4.4. I really enjoy that feature and use it frequently.

Yeah it is weird, not sure if it is a bug or if it is working as intended...According to Samsung, it should stay on all the time.

I never paid much attention to it. I just figured they removed functionality because people are always crying about how big Touchwiz is.

I really miss the lockscreen widgets from the Note 3.

Could very well be, however, when you move from a device ie Note 4 to the Note Edge which everyone states it is basically a Note 4, you freak out when things work differently on basic functionality. Then when Samsung states that it should stay on until the headphones are unplugged, you have to wonder if you have software issues, hardware issues, or someone who does not know the Edge device...hence the reason I am posting to you good people! :)

I totally understand. I have the Tmo variant running a custom rom. I use a different app to control what happens when my headphones get plugged in and recently moved over to Bluetooth headphones.

I'm curious to see what the new Touchwiz will leave behind when the S6 launches. I might just stick to the custom rom depending on how radically it changes (if the rumors are true).
