My droid x was rooted with easy root and I themed my swype with MM and removed some bloatware and thats it ....When I try to download the officail update it just says installation failed! What do I do!!!!! :icon_eek:

Should I un-root and delete easy root and root explorer and all that then do the update or should i just do the update?

youll lose root regardless. you can pick whether u wanna leave it on or not.

you can flash the sbf then itll guarantee you wont have any problems updating.

It resets your phone totally to stock. You lose all personal information and have to set the phone back up again. It's giving you a completely clean, fresh slate to work with.
