i think SPR killed my phone

I didn't think Sprecovery would work on a non-rooted phone. Doesn't he say in the op that he never rooted?

Then boot up and rename the nandroid backup with no spaces or dashes. Reboot into spr and do a nandroid restore.

Sorry, when back and reread the op. Can you hook to computer and mount the sdcard and rename the nandroid backup that way?

from what i have read is the SPR i used had a 2.1 kerrnle so where do i get a 2.2 one and how would i go about installing it?

What rom and what was the file named? Some times you end up with a space in the name or Windows will name it update.zip.zip.
