is Facebook for Android going to get updated?

just wondering. my iPhone friends all have this "places" feature, but Facebook for Android does not and I don't see any "update" buttons yet available.

I can't wait for the day when Android is finally popular and respected enough that iPhone users have to wait for new and updated apps. It gets very tiring to see program after program available to iPhones and only iPhones.

If you want the new places feature now, just go to touch.facebook.com. It works fine there, and to be honest, I prefer the touch site to the Android facebook client anyhow.

Rotflmao ... why use that app that takes up room anyway when the mobile site is available? Half the time the app opens the site anyways..

I don't really care about that "Places" thing, but I wish they'd update it so that everything I press doesn't just take me to the browser... it pisses me off.
