Keeping VZW Unlimited

I had no idea, but apparently if you have VZW unlimited you can get new phones under the monthly payment program and it won't effect the plan.

Not sure I'm just behind on times or if Verizon just doesn't tell people but thought it was/might be a good FYI.

This is correct, it's at least a year. The Edge plan is the program where you pay 1/24 oh the full retail price of the phone each month for two years and you can keep whatever plan you're on. Since you are paying the full retail price even though it's over time and with no financing charges, Verizon looks at the same as if you bought it outright and paid full retail at one time. Verizon's position is as long as they are no subsidizing the price of the phone they will not force UDP subscribers off Unlimited Data.
