From what we saw in the press conference the three Moto Mods available with the phone do not. But I am confident that within a short time of release, if not before, there will be a wireless charging Mod plate to snap on.

I want to help Motolovo. They don't make it easy though. Announce new phone in June. Take preorder in July.
Probably won't ship till Aug. or ? By then they'll probably be competing with the 2016 Nexus. My desire will have worn off. Better to announce with shipping shortly after. Anyone know why they do it this way?

Apple announces a phone, you can buy it a week later. A few times you could buy it THAT freaking day!

I just hate releasing phones later on ...boohoo I'm not on Verizon so by the time you release it unlocked I've seen other choices and you are not in the running by then ...announce and release or just don't announce

No? Laying off thousands, shuttering factories isn't bad?
Lenovo and Motorola are repeating the mistakes of HP and Palm

Yea, I read that. And agree with much of it. But they are not in trouble yet.
The last time they did layoffs was Oct '15. 200 out of 3,500 in Chicago. With the mergers and acquisitions Moto has been through, that's not unusual...it's prudent.
Moto is selling a lot of phones in the US, Europe and India. Hardly hurting....

I've been thinking and I bet they do several add on packs...for say, battery, then multi media with the speakers and the projector, and I could see a go pro type add-on and an outdoors adventure typed kit..idk..just a thought..

Went to a bar for lunch yesterday. There were 2 other people with Turbo 2's. Asked why they went with that one, both said "Shatterproof Screen".

Tell me if these pics from the video I posted earlier don't seem to imply the cable being "combined" into this Mod and laced into place in a coil-like fashion with the batteries to imply a wireless charging coil battery back?
