Market Downloads/wi-fi

Hope I'm posting in the right place. I've been noticing that when I want to download or update an app from the market, I can't do it with wi-fi, only 3g. Is this normal? Just asking because downloads would be faster with wi-fi.

When the Market feels like working, I can do it with wi-fi. Update and download.

I have the same problem, and not just with the market, using Dolphin HD to download flakes out over wireless, it did it with Bugless Beast 1.0 as well

Are you getting a Network Error when you try to download from the Market using WiFi?

Where are you trying to download?

I'm asking because some "Free" Wifi sites are crippled.

I have the same issue, but it's extremely inconsistent. It's like my wifi connection at home has to grab a hold of my phone just right or it will act like what the OP is talking about.
