Just wanted to share a new app that has a 30-day trial that I really like so far. PicPush will automatically upload your photos as you take them to your Picasa (and other) account.
In case you didn't know, with your gmail account comes a Picasa account. Now I have read too many stories of Droid owner's sd cards becoming corrupt, requiring a reformat, and thus rendering their photos gone forever. I want my photos backed up in case I either lose my Droid, or it dies.
Of course you can manually upload your photos from your gallery to a Picasa or other account, but I cannot remember to do this every few days of photo taking. With PicPush, it will upload your photos a (configurable) amount of time after they are taken without you having to do anything.
If you desire, you can have it remove these photos from your Droid after the upload. This is handy if you are already using the flan version of the Gallery which shows you your Picasa web folders in the gallery and keeps them synced.
According to the blurb, it will upload videos and photos to Facebook, Flickr, Shutterfly, PhotoBucket, SmugMug, Gallery and Picasa. I have only been using it for 24 hours, but so far so good. I am already hooked, so I will probably be paying the $4.99 for the full version. ....and no I am in no way affiliated with this company:
