No on button on the front

Annoying? A little. I turned the screen yahoo thing and volume quick keys off because it was going on in my pocket, but it's a little annoying when I'm laying down or have the phone flat on the table at work, and i have to pick it up to turn it on. First world problems, i know.

Am i missing something? What do you do/use to get around having to do this?

Also, can you have the second screen show text notifications when the phone is locked w/ the screen off?

Gotta turn that off because it turns on in my pocket. Just erased 6 pictures taken in my pocket the volume button short cut.
