Resizing a wallpaper for Droid?

I have a wallpaper that I would like a bit smaller so I can fit everything, and not have it be gigantic.

I've tried changing the size in paint and Photoshop, but every time the phone acts like it's the original size.

This is probably a ridiculously stupid question, but can anyone help me?

You might need to actually crop it if the aspect ratio of the original image doesn't match 960x854. Even if you set it to 960x854 you'll get the cropping box. Just size it to the full picture.

Dont know if you are having the same problem I had when I first got my droid but I was going nuts trying to get a pic to fit the home screen, then I realized that there were several home screens and the pic stretched across all of them so I just see one part of the pic in each home screen. Wish there was a way to get a pic fit one screen.
