Recent reports have suggested that Samsung has made a final decision on the Galaxy S9 design and will begin mass production of the phone in December. If this is true the phone may launch before Mobile World Congress begins on February 26th in Barcelona. Earlier this year Samsung totally skipped the event which used to be where they rolled out the latest device in the S series. Instead they waited to hold their own event in March.
According to a trustworthy SamMobile tipster Samsung will once again skip the trade show only this year they will launch their device earlier. The source also mentioned that the phone would use some of the iPhone X's tricks. He did not mention which tricks but it is likely we will see 3D facial recognition to compete with facial recognition on the iPhone X. The phone will also likely include the all new Snapdragon 845. We may also see an update to the Infinity Display with even slimmer bezels. Are you ready for another major flagship as early as February?
