A new update for the Sprint version of the Galaxy Note 3 just started pushing out OTA yesterday. This version, N900PVPUCNC5, doesn't even include any bug fixes, but only brings WiFi calling to the device. Here's a quote with a few more details,

Once the update lands, users will be able to make voice calls and send SMS messages over Wi-Fi without using up their plan (for those who don't have unlimited minutes/text). The setup process will require visiting Sprint account settings and registering your Wi-Fi networks. The device won't handover calls from Wi-Fi to cellular networks a la Republic Wireless, but it's a potential way to compensate for wonky reception at home.

Sound off if you are a Sprint user of the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 and let us know what you think of this feature.

Now that's cool. I wonder if it's a VOIP system?

So does this make all of your wifi calls "FREE" since you are no longer using your carrier's network?
