stuck at fastboot (boot failure) invalid CG version... Please help

So I was on 5.7.893 and did the bionic path saver from p3 and went straight to .893 and without rebooting went to .901. when all was said and done my phone was on 901 but it lost root. I decided to try the whole process over again and forever root before updating to .901 to see if I could keep root. while doing the pathsaver, when prompted to update to 893 I try to apply update from sd card and it reads the following: verifying current system... assert failed: apply patch check (/webtop/usr/lib/ICAClient/pkginf/Ver.core.linuxarm"."4b82ad592181cbc38725c98ad2f76e84364c145e"."

installation aborted.

I thought for some reason if I wiped data that would somehow help... it didn't.

I tried rebooting and it goes straight to ap fastboot but says (flash failure) on the upper right corner but everything else looks the same as usual on that screen.

If this has been discussed somewhere please link me to it.

(update) tried starting it over again, it sent and wrote the preinstalls, all said okay. then it says could not allocate x number of bytes
error: cannot load grfs.img and now when attempting to reboot there is an additional problem, this is displayed: invalid CG OTV (CG: system): Invalid SP Data.

I just need to be able to boot my phone up again and I can go from there. is my boot image corrupted? what is going on here?

are u kidding me...? still no solution for this......? im having the same problem...did EXACTLY the same thing as OP, and now NOTHING works to flash a diff version of the webtop...what gives..?

Try this, it'll put you back on stock rooted, with the option to install both updates back to back in factory recovery. Just make sure you put the second files in the first folder.

after much frusteration, i downloaded this file call flasheme.zip, created a folder called flashme and unzziped the flashme.zip into the folder, loaded RSDlite, and ran the defaultflashtarga.xml file thats inside the flashme folder, and all was well (after 13 hours!!!). god speed. miracle flashme file is below

I had the same problem and about the same amount of time spent trying to get it to flash. I had the same file but did not know how to use it until I read your post and it worked. All others I tried was failed flash, You the man!!! :hail:
