Transparent Phone.apk - can it be done ?

i tried this with my Red and my Chrome themes. It just made it black instead of transparent. And I mean.. I made the background .9.png images transparent. I'll try again with Gold which I am working on as we speak.

X, I tried SEVERAL things today to get it xparent, and all I got was black.... but that does go well with my Blacked Out theme so all was not lost...

Here is my blacked out one.....

Be sure to either backup or pull the Phone.apk and PhoneConfig.apk off your phone first, it replaces both of those... I have tried a lot of stuff but just keep missing something...

I would say that if you change the incall_gradient.9.png files to transparent, and you are getting a black image, there is an underlying background that is displayed through your transparent dialer.

Find that background and make it transparent as well!

Edit: think i narrowed it down a bit if the phone.apk incall gradients are transparent the phone brings up the a xml background color just dont know which one it is i think its the one that changes the bg of the usb as well

The USB mount screen was also on my list of things I would like to see transparent, along with the phone/settings list - and a MM for Root Explorer

So if Im on the Gummy for the D2, and I just replace this phone.apk with this one then I can have the MIUI phone app? And possibly transparent if you guys can pull this off?!

Just want to know if this could work on my phone or not. I might give it a try!

Sourcery has a transparent phone.apk
Edit: nvm everything but the actual in call screen is transparent.
