trying to set my music as ringtones for individuals in my phone book

Since updating to ics, when I go to set a ringtone for an individual in my phone book, it no longer gives me option to use my music as a ringtone. Is there anyway to get this so music stored on my phone can be used as ringtones for individuals? Everything I have tried that has worked in the past no longer works.

Have you tried copying the song to system/media/audio/ringtones and setting permissions, then rebooting?

With a file explorer. I put the music I want as a ringtones in sd/Ringtones.
