Brother is downloading update on his Verizon HTC one as we speak. I'm assuming it's 4.3 and then it'll be ready for kit kat.

He says he's still on 4.2 and sense 5.0 after the update. Anyone know what the update was?

Just got it (not installed yet). Version number 1.10.605.15, which looks like a minor update to 1.10.605.10. Probably some housecleaning?

There doesn't seem to be very much discussion on the HTC one here, but has anyone gotten the 4.3 ota yet?

Sounds like 4.3 is going out any minute now, though kind of a moot point, isn't it, since we should have 4.4 in our hands by early 2014?

Anyway, my sense from seeing 4.3 and then 4.4 on my wife's Moto X and Nexus 7 is I wouldn't hold my breath. Many of the changes from 4.2 -> 4.3 -> 4.4 are pretty subtle. Others like ART sound super on paper but are fairly minor in practice.
