vixie-CRON jobs

vixie-CRON is nice. i understand it and know how to use it. but i am yet to think of a good use or it.

what are some of the cron jobs you guys have setup?

I'm curious to know too. This does seem like a pretty sweet tool. I'm trying to think of things I'd need to run on a scheduled basis....

Depending on how often you install new applications, you could set up a weekly zipalign_apk

I'm thinking that for most purposes, an android-friendly app would be better for scheduling recurring jobs, since they take much less battery (piggyback on system callbacks instead of running all the time). The need for vcron is something that absolutely HAS to be done at a particular time - and I really can't think of much that is that exact - even alarms work fine with the normal mechanisms.
