Wallpaper and period

How do I resize a picture to use as my wallpaper. Why does it need to be resized to begin with? 1 other thing, they have got to do something about the period and spacebar. I'm always having to go back and remove all the periods and recapitulize ...

To resize it, I believe you can use an app like picsay.

I posted the same question over at XDA and I was recomended an app called "Wallpaper Wizardrii" I have it installed but haven't tried it yet. But from the discription it looks promising.
