Hello dudes and dudettes (most likely dudes)

I have a question for ya'll: Will the Droid 1, Droid X, or Droid 2 be able to run 4G speeds when 4G comes around the corner? How about LTE?

No, no, and maybe droid 2 global will depending on its radio. The current phones with that exception cannot do LTE.

Ooh nice, so if I traded in my X to get a D2, I should get a global??

I don't like the camera hump on the DX, and I don't want the bulge on the D2 global either.

I would also wait. I don't think the d2 global will be 4g capable. I don't think it has the propper hardware and if it did, with all the hype about 4g, I think they would be pushing that as a selling point.

Currently, there are no phones in Verizon's lineup that are compatible with LTE. The USB modems will be launching soon but the phones won't roll out until mid February.

How will a phone that doesn't have LTE radios in it run at 4G speeds?

The question was asked in 2010.. I believe it is now a moot point. Phones that do not have the hardware needed to support 4G obviously will not reach 4G speeds.
