I shot some video with the Pixel 2 last Saturday of some crazy folk who like to jump out of airplanes. While recording, I was shooting directly towards the sun and in the video you'll notice blue spot that moves and morphs a bit, then disappears as the parachutist reaches ground level.
When I first viewed the video, my first thought was, Oh Crap is this going to be another PixelGate?? But then I started to think about it. The opening in the Tech21 that surrounds the camera hole is beveled and an angle and is very smooth and reflective. I think the artifact in the video is just a reflection of the Sun from the phone case.
What do you think?
