After updating a few apps on her MAXX, she is getting audible messages like:
YOU HAVE WON TODAY'S NEWEST AND GREATEST APP! SHAKE YOU PHONE TO GET IT.

She checked store settings and didn't see anything it may be related to.

Wouldn't it have to be associated with some app she just recently updated?

What can I tell her to look for, or at to find the source of this problem and stop it?

Thank you

She does have, and ran A vast, but nothing was found.

This is an anti viral app, is there a specific malware app?

Uninstall recently updated apps. A lot of Chinese apps spam you with notifications.

I just passed those last two suggestion on to her. Well report back with results.

I'm betting recent app install as well.

If it started after an app install, I would bet on the app as well.

Her updated apps, before which there was no problem, were:
1-Isis Wallet
2-Motorola Alert
3-Motorola Help
4-Beautiful Widgets Pro
5-FedEx Mobile

She disabled Isis Wallet (I never heard of that app before) and uninstalled the updates for the Motorola Alert and Help (she said she could not disable the Alert or Help).

Still getting the "You have won the app of the day!" announcement. She said if she did shake the phone, her browser pops open and then the Google Play Store opens (I guess from a link in the browser is what she means) to the free app of the day.

Maybe it was an earlier app, like a few days ago, and she needs to keep backing up to find it. She did install the Malawarebytes and it found nothing. Avast was also run and found nothing. Lookout found nothing. So, the search goes on. I am not sure why someone else has not run into this, too. I figure I will be the lucky app winner of the day, next!

It wouldn't be any of those apps, but I'm sure it's app related. You usually see this type of garbage with free wallpaper (or similar) apps.

Isis wallet is Verizons answer to Google wallet.. It doesn't have adds... I'd look at FedEx mobile.. But it could be any app.. Probably a game as was suggested

I doubt it's Fed ex mobile. Ive used that app for almost two years without any pop ups like that. (anything is possible though) lol

Speaking of ISIS.....read a story the other day they are changing the name to IRIS or something similar. Because of the ISIS terrorist group in the middle east, they don't want people to confuse the two, or think they are in any way associated.
