Valued members! It has come to our attention that there are imposter sites out there trying to be as awesome as Droidforums.net. So far, we've found droidforumsk.com and droidforums.xyz. These were found by our very own @FoxKat through google searches, so anybody could accidentally end up there instead of here.

These sites appear to be stealing text from our site and almost look as though there's a server issue. The graphics and formatting from our forum don't show up there, but thread titles, usernames, and etc do. UPDATE: sometimes they're plain text. Other times, they look exactly like our site.

If you stumble onto one of these sites, DO NOT use your droidforums.net credentials to log in there.

The proper staff members have been alerted to this situation and steps are being taken to get these false sites taken down, but in the meantime, we wanted to let you all know to double check and make sure you're only logging in to the Official Droidforums.net (pretty easy to tell the difference). Getting these imposters down could take weeks at the earliest.

If you happen upon anything else like this on your own, please contact a member of staff immediately.

Here's a screenshot of each of these imposter sites. You can see how quickly they're spoofing our content. I posted this thread and then went to each of them. This thread already shows up there.

UPDATE: It appears they're getting better at spoofing our entire site and layout. BEWARE!

They're also riddled with popups.

To second @Jonny Kansas , the sites can even look like ours... If you go to droidforumsk.com or www.droidforums.xyz, you'll see the normal full graphics website home page, but that's just to fool you.

If you click on any link , such as the Active Topics, you'll see what appears in the post above, so be extra careful not to be fooled by these sites.

More info, the .com is all Phoenix and should be easier to shut down.
