bored to death/cant watch netflix

I spend 12 hours a day doing nothing at work. All I want for xmas is to watch star trek on my crappy phone. But alas I am a moron and can't figure out how. Netflix app won't load because I'm running 2.1. Help please!

ALOHA welcome to the forum. are u able to upgrade ur device to 2.2 or higher? Netflix has periodic upgrades

I'm not sure how to do that. I went to motorolas web site but didn't see anything about upgrading unless I want to buy a new phone.
