Ok everyone, although this is going to suck a little. Here's the workaround to get v1.4 installed as per the instructions of [x] then tweaked a little by me.

Go to - Index of /Devs/bigdaddyhicks/BDH
Download Rage Rom v1.4
Download Rage Rom v1.2
Put both zips on your external sdcard
Boot into SafeStrap. ([x] used 3.11, I'm running 3.07)
Activate the Stock slot and delete Slot 1.
Create new Slot 1.
Install RAGE 1.2 onto Slot 1.
Reboot system all the way to the Android Welcome setup screen.
Wait a few minutes for giggles. Possibly until data appears in status bar.
Hold down Power button and select Reboot.
Enter SafeStrap and flash 1.4 via OP link WITHOUT WIPING ANYTHING!
Reboot system all the way and enjoy that pretty blue halo that now appears around your system popups (like the "Android is upgrading" window).

OK new to using SStrap and I have a different ROM in slot 1..so after downloading 1.4 and 1.2
1. I go into SS..activate stock JB..

3. Wipe everything
4. Then install 1.2 or can I go to 1.4?

Did I miss anything before all this? Do I need to make any backups in Safestrap?

Just follow the instructions in order and you'll be good. Flash 1.2, don't wipe anything, flash 1.4

You can't go straight to 1.4

ROM is working great.. this is my second ROM and for whatever reason I can't get screenshot to work...Gonna use this for awhile to see how battery life is. But liking overall UI..great job!

Does Bluetooth work on this ROM? And, I'm currently running AOKP Full Throttle JB Rom with 2.11 Safestrap. Do I just need to update the Safestrap in order to get this going?

Bluetooth and screen shot both working fine on my MAXX running 1.2.

Hello, this is my first custom rom in my razr. (i think what i found about jb this is the best one, thanks so much)
i followed this instructions exactly

Activate a new Rom Slot
Wipe System
Wipe Data / Factory Reset
Wipe Cache
Wipe Dalvik Cache
Install Rage Rom
Enjoy! "

i have a qs, do i have to install 1.2 ? because i installed 1.4 directly, and my phone is stuck at animated droid icon.

Well i did try with 1.2 first, and worked, let me just follow the instructions to get to 1.4 that i found at page 2. dancedroid

You can't go straight to 1.4. Earlier in the thread he laid out instructions for installation including 1.4.

Work works amazingly fast and well! I'm on V1.4 upgraded from v1.2 as instructed.

Only issue that I'm having is that I cannot send sms texts. I can receive them though.

UPDATE - I am able to text while not on a 4g lte connection. I am trying to fix my SMSC number using instructions found here:

Unfortunately it keeps on saying error when I try to enter in the 0791135604590100 number as shown: "Verizon: +316540951000 = 0791135604590100"

Never heard of this issue. Are you a CDMA? Or GSM?

I am CDMA with Verizon.

One question, in your instructions, it says not to wipe anything in going from 1.2 to 1.4. When I installed 1.4 over 1.2 in Safestrap, it said that it was wiping davik and cache. Is that what could be causing my problem? If so, what is the best way to flash over 1.2 if not through safestrap?

Followed this and ended up with something completely different. What's up with my power icon and having that second shiny buttons bar?

You have it right..not sure why you feel it is completely different.

I have to admit having two power toggles in the notification bar is a bit much, but you can disable the lower one.. system settings->power toggles->disable.
