droid eye and nothing else; please help

Hi, I have a motorola droid x, one year old. worked fine yesterday until battery went dead. all it does now is show droid eye and blinks notifications. i can't turn it on or off without removing battery. please help. thanks

Have you tried doing a factory reset or anything else?
