I don't have Titanium since i'm not too worried about my apps... Is it safe for me to wipe all data then power it on and see if the wipe actually did anything???

You need to go through the process again.

What point are you at in the installation where you are wiping?

You should restore your backup check to make sure the update.zip is correct on the root of the card. Reboot into recovery, wipe data, wipe cache, allow update.zip, apply update.zip. reboot.

Right before the allow update part is where I am wiping. And I have tried rebooting into recovery after the wipe and before the install. Still nothing.

When you allow update.zip then apply update.zip do you see it go through the SS script?

Yes sir with SPRecovery. And I see the SS script yes. I'm gonna attempt it with RZR when I get home. Hopefully that fixes it.

Guide to ROM Manager by teddyearp

After step 2, install queue never shows up when I select my rom.

3. Next RM will have an “Install Queue” window pop up. Just select the “OK” button.
4. The next window will be titled “ROM Pre-Installation” with two options; “Backup Existing ROM” and Wipe Data and Cache”. ALWAYS choose the first option and for the purposes of this guide, select the second one too as the decision behind this choice is beyond the scope of this guide.
5. Then at the bottom, just tap “OK” and watch your phone go to work.

Yes, I wrote that for Rom Manager 3.x, some things have changed with 4.x. Also, you have to have Rom Manager in advanced mode for the 'install queue' to pop up. It now shows "OK", "ADD ZIP" and "CANCEL" IIRC, but again you have to be in advanced mode and that is only available with Rom Manager premium.

Also, in step four it now shows three options, wipe, backup, and wipe dalvik. I will have to get around to re-writing it and then editing this guide.

Okay, so I'm installing a ROM and this is the string of info I'm getting after selecting "Install /sdcard/update.zip (deprecated)":

"Install from sdcard...
Finding update package...
Opening update package...
Verifying update package...
E:update.zip install blocked...
Installation Aborted"

But the yellow progress bar seems to still be ... progressing...

Is there something I need to do?


Edit: Nevvvvvermind... Getting sleepy and just tried to install again and it worked this time... Duh.
