Frigin recorder problem

I have tried every recorder app out there to record phone calls with the speaker on. Evey one I have tried causes force closes, major lagging, and locks up the phone completely! So I think it may be something I am doing wrong, because I have tried almost every app on the market. So I got google voice to record calls that way only to find out it just works with incoming calls! I even tried to record an incoming call by pressing 4 to record and 4 to stop recording. NOTHING! Please help! Maybe it just wasn't meant to be for me to record! LOL! I may just pop for the phone recorder at radio shack for about $30. With my luck that wont work either! HAha. Any suggestions???!?!? :angry::wacko::icon_eek:
