Did Sprint give you a reason? They may not help if the ESN isn't clean

I concur. You have to be very careful when buying phones off of Ebay & Craigslist. Always have the owner provide the ESN number so you can verify it's a "clean" device.
How was the seller's rating? Have you spoken with the seller since receiving the device? Did you purchase via credit card or Paypal? If so, you can usually open up a case with them and eventually get your money back if it's not a device you can legally activate.

Yes, you would be able to activate it..maybe not with boost mobile..but a good one you wanna be at right now is cricket..good service to your S5..try with Idoneapps.com
