Have they given up on the Note 2?

Have they given up on the Note 2? Still not seeing any Root options for Note 2 with KitKat OTA from VZW. I know the Note 4 is only a month away but does this mean The End for my Note 2?

Are you saying you got KK ota?
I haven't even gotten that, thought they'd changed their mind on pushing it out. I'm actually glad I didn't get it because I can still make full use of my sd card, unlike my Note8 that got the update

I did not try in because I dont want to lose Root again. I did the the Last 4.3 Update that fixed some tiny thing and it Broke Root. I had to Flash Back to get Root again. My S3 Got KitKat and Rooted it with TowelRoot. I know that the there was some issues Rooting the Note 2 because of the Exynos CPU.
