Home Button issue with Dock Mode

Hey all,
I just got the mail in rebate dock for my droid razr maxx and i love what it does for my phone except for one thing. When docked, pressing the home button brings up this menu on the "Dock Type" instead of bringing back to the home screen. That means that the only way i can exit apps is to either choose one of the dock modes and then exit to the home screen from there or use the back button to back my way out of apps which isnt the most efficient way to navigate the OS.

Anyone have any advice on what I should do?

I have the original dock (only 1 hdmi, 1 3.5mm) and yes, the home key brings up the menu. Not a problem though. Instead of hitting the home key, hit the return key (one to the right of home key), and it will bring up your home page. to return to dock mode, you have to pull down notifications and select it again. hope this helps.
