How clean mms database to save space

I have Google set to back up my mms messages but of the free 15gb 3.5 if it are mms message backups.

I havel deleted conversations from Google messages but the mms back up never gets smaller. It seems like once the mms database gets to a large size it never shrinks

What's the best way to clean it shrink the mms database to it doesn't take up so much space in the Google cloud?

To clean and shrink the MMS database in Google Cloud:

1. Delete unnecessary MMS messages in Google Messages app.
2. Clear app cache for Google Messages.
3. Disable automatic media download in Google Messages settings.
4. Manually delete MMS backups in Google Drive.
5. Check for other apps or services creating MMS backups.

99 percent of backup is the mms pictures which there is no easy way to delete in bulk
