HTC officially unveiled the One X9. It looks like it is slated for an initial launch in Asia (and perhaps only China). It's a solid device and seems to fall into a category in between a flagship and a mid-ranger. It's price is definitely nice at just 2,399 yuan (about $370) off-contract in China.

Here's a breakdown of specs:
  • 5.5-inch 1080p display (likely IPS)
  • Octa-core MediaTek X10 chipset (8x Cortex-A53)
  • 3GB of RAM
  • 32GB of storage, with a dedicated microSD slot (up to 2TB)
  • 3,000 mAh battery and dual Nano SIM slots
  • UMTS 3G (850/900/1900/2100) plus China Mobile's TD-SCDMA 3G (1900/2000) - including dual-mode LTE (FDD bands 1/3/5/7/8/28; TDD bands 38/39/40/41)
  • 13 megapixel OIS rear camera - with f/2.0 and dual-tone flash - can capture RAW images
  • UltraPixel sensor on the front camera
  • BoomSound front-facing stereo speakers
  • Android 6.0
There's no word on whether it will actually come to any other markets besides China at this time. Considering its competitive price-point for this hefty slew of solid features, it would probably be a welcome addition to any global market.
